The Glacier Ice Arena

The Glacier Ice Arena is Illinois' premier, state-of-the-art ice arena. Come watch a game, or skate in comfortable, modern surroundings. The Glacier was built in 1999, and features two NHL size ice surfaces and has been a place for families to have fun ever since.

The Glacier Ice Arena's modern lobby is bright, spacious and is illuminated with natural light from huge panoramic windows. There is a concessions stand that offers a wide range of hot and cold drinks together with an extensive variety of light snacks. You can keep up with the latest news or follow your favorite teams progress on one of the four high definition TV’s that are ideally located around the lobby.

This morning the Glacier Hockey coaches played their annual game which was an absolute Hum-Dinger of a match (English expression meaning very exciting but has a little more punch to it).
It was 8:00am and the two teams lead by Bobby & Eric faced off full of enthusiasm.
The game started with Bobby's team  running away with it, many goals scored with plenty of dipsy doodling around (and a bit of showing off LOL), but goodness me there were some fast hands out there and the legs were doing well to keep up!
As the game progressed Bobby's team started to tire and Eric's team slowly closed the gap. After a nail biting three periods of end to end hockey the game was even at 13 a piece, (that score line tells a story!)
So into sudden death extra time it went and after a couple of minutes Tom Bourdreau scored the winner for Eric's team with assists from Jeff McPherren and James Howarth. After being behind the entire game Eric's team eventually won.
Fun was had by one and all!!!!!!
