Well the fall schedule is well under way now and many of the skaters have taken advantage of the great discounts on offer when joining our skating club. Membership to the club provides members with a one off offer of three free lessons on either the fall or winter learn to skate classes. If this is not desirable there is an alternative way to save by opting for discount vouchers on freestyle ice or punch cards.
Over 120 skaters are now members of our club and they will be receiving their enrollment packs very shortly.
The first club event has now been arranged and it is sure to be a lot of fun. On the 30 th October members are invited to skate on a two hour session that will include free group lessons, fancy dress competitions, games, prizes and a whole lot of fun. All the coaching staff here are committed to the club and its activities and many of them will be available on the 30 th to talk to skaters and their parents with regard to future development within the sport.
For our competitive skaters the regional championships is just around the corner and they are all working hard on fine tuning their programs for this important event. They are all looking to qualify for Midwestern Championships and ultimately a coveted position in the National Championships in January. On behalf of everyone at the Glacier I would like to wish all of our competitors luck and remind them to enjoy the experience of taking part. The skaters are:
