Have I really been gone this long? The Glacier seems a distant memory on the other side of the planet! Only joking, just another week to go and I will back to a different grind stone!
No figure skating today, it’s the Men’s one thousand meters and short track so lunch in the Eurosport Sponsors village sounds like a good idea. They have said that we can go whenever we like but we don’t want to take advantage of it (too much – if you know what I mean).
Well it was a beautiful meal accompanied by ………….. water! Yes no wine I’m working! We headed of to the IBC where I did a fifteen minute piece on the speed skating and then a mad dash to the Palavela for the short track.
It was a good day that ended up back at the Eurosport Sponsors village for the odd glass of Moet or two. I gave Bev a call from the village where they have a live webcam running all the time so I gave her a wave as we chatted on the phone (She was thrilled!!!!!!!)
It was a lovely evening, apparently it is white night and the entire alpine area go mad for the evening (any excuse for a party and I’m not complaining)
At about 1:00 am Simon and I started the journey home. The village is right in the centre of Turin and I can tell you it was packed! No chance of getting a taxi tonight so we walked home. Our journey took us through a rather shady area of Turin where certain undesirables were loitering. We made it home safely and bid our farewells…………….. |

Not a bad spread ha? |
