Team Encore Synchronized Team

We are very excited to be going into our second year for Team Encore!! - an ISI Synchronized Skating Team! It is very exciting and a great team sport for ages 6 years old and up. Synchronized skating is a team of approximately 14-18 girls or boys who will learn a choreographed routine with a theme in mind and matching costumes!  For young skaters, being on a team and competing can be a valuable and fun skating experience.

What is an ISI team?
The Ice Skating Institute (ISI) is an organization formed by ice rinks, skating clubs, professionals and skaters to promote the sport of figure skating with particular attention to offering structured learn to skate programs as well as test and competition programs that promote skating achievements in a team atmosphere where recreational figure skaters are welcomed, cheered and encouraged to progress. Team skating has become a well recognized collegiate sport and a valuable alternative track for the competitive figure skater.

 When will practices be?
The team will meet once per week on Monday evenings 5:00-6:00pm. It is very important to make all scheduled practices. Since this is a team each person is important in order to perform the group routine. Missing team practices will impact the teams performance.

When will the competitions be scheduled?
A competition schedule will be posted by October 1st, 2008. Competitions season runs from November to April with 4-5 locally scheduled competitions. Travel to the competition is the parents responsibility. We recommend a carpool situation.

 What will the team wear?
The team colors are Purple and Pink. Girls will wear a practice skirt and boys would wear black pants with a purple top.

 What is the monthly cost?
The monthly cost is $140.00. This includes your 1 hour of on ice practice per week, 1/2 hour off ice practice, coaches fees, entry fee’s for the competition, practice apparel and performance costumes. Our Teams skate for no charge in our Glacier Ice Shows (2 performances).
